YMCA DG response to Covid-19

Dear Guest,

In order to help in effort to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, it was with great sadness that we had to announce that all YMCA Dulverton Group Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes and Bars are closed until further notice. This included the Great Western Hotel, Taunton and The Beach Hotel, Minehead.

The Great Western Hotel remains available for key workers and we ask them to contact us directly to discuss their needs, we have offered both our hotels to the NHS to be utilised to benefit their staff or the community or assist the current situation. We are now taking the opportunity to undertake some tasks that we never otherwise get the time to do, which we hope will make our guest experience just that little bit better when we once again open our doors.

For those of you who have booked with a deposit, we would love to offer you an alternative date when matters become clearer. If this isn’t convenient then please contact us to talk through.

Thanks to the government support announced on March 20th, we are thrilled to be able to retain our enthusiastic and professional staff for the next three months at least. I would like to take this opportunity to thank these individuals for their unbelievable devotion to our guests, and acknowledge their loyalty and courage in the face of their own challenges in these difficult times.

As always, to our guests, we are indebted to your loyalty and support, and we would like to thank you for the heart-warming messages of support we have received from so many of you.

Please do stay in touch with us. Follow us on social or sign up for our newsletters for updates. If you have any questions or concerns, or think we can help in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Let me wish you the best of health in the coming months, and I sincerely hope to see you again soon.
